ANAHEIM HILLS, Calif. (March XX, 2006): Prudential California Realty, a Southern California-based real-estate agency, is pleased to congratulate Jacquie Robinson and Graeme Raid for receiving Prudential’s Chairman’s Circle Gold award, given to the top 3% of Prudential agents nationwide.
“This is actually our sixth time making the Chairman’s Circle Gold level,” says Robinson. “And we have our clients to thank for every single honor we’ve received. We work hard for them, giving them information so they can make good decisions, instead of having us make decisions for them. They reward us with their loyalty, testimonials and referrals, which enable us to grow even more.”
Licensed for 28 years, Robinson began her real-estate career at Coldwell Banker, where she remained for eight years before moving to Merrill Lynch, to an office that eventually became a Prudential branch; she’s been at that same office since 1984. Initially, Robinson was Regional Secretary, but when she saw “how hot the market was,” she moved into sales, working as Relocation Director for five years.
With 12 years of real-estate experience, Raid was formerly Sales & Marketing for the medical devices industry, for whom he spent 20 years working with imaging and diagnostic ultrasound machines and traveling all over the world for his job. As his industry began to downsize in the early 1990s, he switched to real estate, moving to Orange County, where his wife was born and raised, to “put down roots.”
“When I worked with medical devices, I felt like I was doing something positive for humankind,” says Raid. “Now that I’m working in real estate, I’m doing something similar, but on a much more personal level. Having clients put their trust in me is just as rewarding as my prior career. I’m taking care of people and helping them with one of their most basic human needs: shelter.”
Raid and Robinson began working together in 1995. Finding they had the same business ethics, morals and feelings about the importance of integrity, they decided to begin a partnership, a business relationship that would go on to last over a decade. Although they both contribute equally to all aspects of the transaction, each agent brings complementary skills to the team. Raid takes care of the team’s technology needs, and Robinson’s almost three decades of real-estate experience add a level of knowledge their clients prize. Together, Raid and Robinson have been incredibly successful; during the last five years, their growth has been based almost entirely on referrals and repeat customers.
“Our clients really like working with us as a team,” Robinson says. “I know a lot of other partners tend to break up tasks, with one agent doing the showings and another doing the marketing or contracts, but Graeme and I really do everything together.”
“It means we have two sets of eyes and ears,” adds Raid. “When Jacquie and I are at the same client meeting, we take in different information. Later, when we compare notes, we find we have twice as many perceptions of the meeting, meaning we have a better understanding of the client’s needs. Our clients are actually amazed at how much we ‘get’ as a team—they say we pick up on things about them that they didn’t even know they needed.”
Robinson and Raid are both eCertified and certified members of Prudential’s relocation team. In addition to their six wins of Prudential’s Chairman’s Circle Gold award, they have been recognized many times for their outstanding customer service. Raid and Robinson also teach open house classes to colleagues.
Also on Raid and Robinson’s team are assistant Peggy McCullough, a licensed realtor and listing coordinator who puts the team’s marketing ideas into action, professional stager Mary Macy, who helps clients get the most for their homes through attractive design, and transaction coordinator Priscilla Albin, whom Raid says is “a fireball!”
A native Southern Californian, Robinson has been a resident of Orange County for 18 years. Married for 35 years, Robinson and her husband have two daughters, both graduates of California State University, Fullerton, and a three-year-old granddaughter. Although Robinson considers her family to be her primary “hobby,” she also enjoys reading, playing golf and spending time at the beach. Robinson is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), working as an advocate for children.
Born and raised in Australia, Raid has lived in California since 1981. His wife, a former TWA flight attendant, is an Orange County native; the Raids have been married for 25 years. Raid has two children (29, 32) from a previous marriage, both of whom live in Australia. In addition to being a technophile and news junkie, Raid is an avid golfer who plays “weekly (and weakly!).” Raid has spent three years serving on the MLS board of the Pacific West Association of Realtors.
